2016 Registration Information
May 6th and 7th is registration at the Parks and Recreation office at Old City Hall, 119 Palo Pinto. Registration will continue on Monday, May 9th until all classes are filled.

Weatherford City Residents Registration  ( May 6th )
Registration for City residents will be open exclusively for residents on Friday, May 6th from 5-7 pm. Residents must present proof of residency at the time of registration with a City of Weatherford Utility Bill AND a valid Driver’s License with matching name and address. Non-residents and those unable to provide proof of residency, will be turned away at the door. Residents will receive a discounted rate of $40/participant.

Open Registration - Residents and Non-Residents  ( May 7th )
Registration will continue for all participants on Saturday, May 7th from 9-11:00am. All non-residents and City of Weatherford residents unable to make the Friday evening registration can register beginning Saturday at 9am, along with registering for multiple sessions that day. Residents must still provide Utility Bill and Driver's License to receive discount. Standard cost for lessons is $52/participant

Important Registration Information
Registration will continue until all classes are filled at the Recreation Office, 119 Palo Pinto. Non-residents may register over the phone by calling 817-598-4124. A discount of 10$ will be taken off for all registrations at the start of May 30th for all non-filled time slots.

We accept cash, credit card, and check (Driver's License Number needed).

Step 1: Select your class by age group...
Preschool: 3-5 years
Elementary: 6-12 years
Stroke Development:
10 & up*
*Only 9:30 a.m. and 6:05 p.m. slots available for Stroke Development and must pass prerequisites*

Step 2: Select you session date range (A-D)...

*Lessons run from Monday-Thursday for 2 weeks. Friday is used as a make-up day, should there be bad weather.*

Session A:
June 6th-16th
Session B: June 27th-July7th
Session C: July 18th-July 28th
Session D:
 August 8th-18th

Step 3: Choose your lesson time slot...
*Lessons are 40 minutes long.*

9:25 - 10:05am
10:15 - 10:55am
11:05 - 11:45am
11:55am - 12:35pm
5:15 - 5:55pm
6:05 - 6:45pm

**We recommend that you have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice in
the instance that a session is full when you register.**

Your registration should look similar to this, depending on
the participant's Level:

1st Choice: Preschool, Session B, at 9:25

2nd Choice: Preschool, Session B, at 5:15

3rd Choice: Preschool, Session C, at 11:05

Weatherford Parks and Recreation is also bringing back the Water-Tots and Adult Beginner lessons.
Water-Tots: 18 mo up to 3 years
*A parent will also need to be in the water for Water-Tots. Swim diaper is required if not potty-trained.*
Adult Beginner: 13 years & up

Water-Tots and Adult Beginner Classes:
Both, Water-Tots and Adult Beginner classes will be Saturday mornings from 10:30-11:30am.

Session A: June 11th, 18th, 25th, and July 2nd

Session B:
July 16th, 23rd, 30th, and August 6th

Full Course Descriptions

Watertots: Ages 18 months - 3 years
*Adult MUST accompany child in the water in a group setting*
Focus on basic skills in the water, that increase comfort and confidence

Pre-School: Ages 3 - 5 years
(Group class setting - Parents are not in the water)

Focus is on basic skills that increase comfort and confidence in the water. Participants will be tested the first day of class and placed in skill level groups. Classes are taught to the pace of the participants working through a specific sequence of skills.

Elementary: Ages 6 - 12 years
(Group class setting)
Participants will begin working through a specific sequence of skills taught at their pace. Participants will be tested the first day of class and placed in skill level groups.

Stroke Development - Ages 10 & up
(Small group class setting)
This class is designed for participants who have advanced skills but who may not be ready to join the swim team. *Pre-requisites: participants must show proficiency in front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and have basic knowledge of butterfly; ability to swim back and forth across the pool in the aforementioned strokes. Participants will be placed in age-appropriate swim lessons if they do not meet the pre-requisites.

Adult Beginner: Ages 13 & up
(Small group class setting)
Truly for the beginner! Water safety, basic water adjustment skills, comfort and confidence in the water is what this class is about. Never learned to swim - then this class is for you.

Credit / Refund Policy
A credit to be used for a City of Weatherford Parks and Recreation Program will be issued for the full amount of payment if the cancellation occurs no later than 11 business days prior to the session. Any modification to a registration must be made no later than 11 business days prior to the session and will accompany a $10 rescheduling fee. All other cancellations or modifications 10 business days or less from the session start date will not accompany any type of refund or credit.
