Roll Call -         Mayor Joe Tison, Mayor Pro Tem Johnie Herbert, Council Members Jan Barton, Clem Smith and Waymon Hamilton.  City Manager George Campbell, City Attorney Ed Zellers, City Secretary Angela Winkle.

 

Any final action, decision, or vote on a matter deliberated in an Executive Session Meeting will only be taken in an Open Meeting that is held in compliance with Texas Open Meetings Act.

 

Pursuant to Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, VTCS, (Open Meetings Law) in accordance with the authority contained in Section 551.074-Personnel Matters to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee-Boards and Commissions & Municipal Court Judge; Section 551.071- Real Estate to deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property –215 South Denton Street and 7.726 acres of city property located south of the 1600 block of Santa Fe (Fm 2552).

UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED, ACTION MAY BE TAKEN ON ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

 

1.   Minutes      Approve minutes of the Regular Meeting held on August 9, 2005 and the minutes of the City Council Retreat held on July 19, 2005.

 

2.   Visitors       A maximum of thirty (30) minutes will be devoted to receiving comments from the public for topics not listed on the agenda.  Each speaker is limited to one (1) presentation per meeting with a maximum timed limit of three (3) minutes. No formal Council action is permitted under the Texas Open Meetings law for the items discussed in this section of the agenda.

5.  FR082305-01Consider approval of Ordinance 168-2005-48 on final reading amending the City’s Subdivision Regulations, City of Weatherford Code of Ordinances Chapter 11, Section II, by clarifying expiration periods, establishing a procedure for review of applications, terminating dormant projects and replacing concept plan procedures with procedures for master plats.

 

6.  FR082305-02Discuss and consider authorizing the City Manager to initiate a zoning change request on 7.726 acres of city property located south of 1600 Block of Santa Fe (FM 2552) from Planned District (PD) to General Retail (GR), more fully described as 7.726 acres situated in and being a portion of the E. Miller Survey, Abstract No. 873, Parker County, Texas and being the portion of all that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying south of Santa Fe Drive described to the City of Weatherford, Parker County, Texas by deed recorded in Volume 171, Page 106, Deed Records, Parker County, Texas.

 

7.  FR082305-03         Discuss and consider a recommendation by the Planning and Zoning

8.  FR082305-04a.) Hold a Public Hearing on the application for a Conditional Use Permit for Auto Tire Repair/Sales (indoor) for all that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in Parker County, Texas, being a part of Lot 3, Block 3, Betty’s Addition, and a part of Harcourt Street (closed), to the City of Weatherford, Parker County, Texas, located at 814 Palo Pinto Street.  This property is zoned General Retail (GR).

 

b.)
