Coronavirus Shelter Operations
WPCAS has altered operations with our animal shelter operations. During this time, we are deep cleaning and disinfecting our shelter as well as making plans to provide the best service we can during these changing times. We will keep all of our supporters and community updated with the latest information regarding changes to our operations.
Currently the animal shelter is open to the public, however, there are precautions and changes we have made to protect our staff, volunteers, and visitors. Please observe the following when visiting the shelter:
- Customers must park in the designated parking lot and call our office at (817) 598 – 4111 to receive further instructions from a staff member.
- Trapped cats will only be accepted and/or picked up by the shelter if they will be returned to their location. The shelter will not be accepting healthy community cats without TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return).
- T-N-R (Feral cat spay/neuter) days are now Wednesdays and Fridays. Drop off for these cats is between 8:30 am and 9:00 am with pick up the same day between 3:00 and 3:30 pm. Cats must be in separate traps or carriers, multiple cats in the same carrier or trap will not be accepted. Two cats per residence/customer are allowed.
Please note that the shelter hours have been adjusted during this time. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 4pm.
