Chris Crawford was appointed Deputy Chief of Police in April 2017. Deputy Chief Crawford started his law enforcement career in May 1992 with the Mineral Wells Police Department. He then hired on to work for the Weatherford Police Department in October 1997. Over the course of his career he as worked in a variety of capacities, such as Patrol Officer, Crime Prevention, School Resource Officer, Detective, Administrative Sergeant/Lieutenant and Professional Standards. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University. He has also attended the nationally recognized FBI National Academy, class #230 in Quantico, Virginia. Deputy Chief Crawford is a member of the Texas Police Chief's Association, FBINAA and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
