Do you have questions on homeschooling your special needs child at home? Whether your child has classroom or clinic-based experiences, learning at home can really make a difference in outcome. This PowerPoint virtual event will discuss six key areas that are helpful for special needs children and how to modify their education in the home in ways they learn best, such as Discrete Trial Training and
Applied Behavior Analysis. While the emphasis will be on students with cognitive difficulties, such as ASD and Down Syndrome, parents of students with physical or behavioral issues may also benefit from this program. The six tip areas are: Rewards & Boards, Language Development, Sight-Based Reading (for those unable to learn phonics), Task Boxes & Busy Bags, Incorporating Practical Life Skills, and Behavior Management & Stress Relief Techniques.
